New Family Visiting Day

Parent Orientation Night

An important night for parents to learn from the Director about the importance of Play-based/Developmental learning and learn from their child’s classroom Teachers the expectations for the new school year.

"Run Back to School" Fun Run

A Fun Run for children of all ages from a Diaper Dash all the way to the half mile for the older kids, with lots of different distances in between!

Open House

Let your child show you around their classroom; see some of the work they have done and meet some of their new friends!

Fall Festival

This is a great opportunity for families to come together as the school year gets going. Games, prizes, arts and crafts, and balloons provide an exciting Fall activity.

Wear ORANGE to school week
October 25-29, 2010 In lieu of Halloween costumes, GCCNS prefers to wear the color ORANGE all week to school – how fun is that?!

Dad’s Day

Parent/Teacher Conferences

This is a time to talk and mutually share thoughts about your child. Conferences last about 15-20 minutes.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, everyone wears RED to school all week – how fun is that?!

GCCNS Family Ski Trip

A terrific opportunity to get away for the day at the Grand Geneva Ski Slope. Enroll your 4 or 5 year old in “Snow Cubs: and hit the slopes yourself or take lesson, ski or snowboard. GCCNS takes care of all the arrangements.

Dr. Suess week

GCCNS Annual Benefit
Saturday, March 5, 2011
The Benefit is the one Adults-only event sponsored by the school. We hope to be able to have as many families gather together to get to know each other and get a chance to meet the parents who may not be familiar faces. Also, the Benefit is the largest source of fundraising monies for the school. These additional funds are used to enhance and improve our school each year. Attending the Benefit will prove to be a night to be remembered!

Go GREEN / RECYCLE week
March 14-18, 2011
To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, everyone wears GREEN to school all week – how fun is that?! The teacher's will also be collecting recycled items to use in the classroom for art projects – a list of items will be provided.

Family Festivals
April 11-14, 2011
A GCCNS tradition for over 50 years! Students and their families are invited to the school for a Pizza Dinner, mingling, and entertainment by your children! Each class has their very own Family Festival!

Spring Boutique
Wednesday, April 27, 2011
Come and shop at GCCNS very own Boutique featuring over 20 venders! Merchandise from jewelry, accessories, make-up, clothes, food, and child’s clothing/accessories. Just in time for Mother’s Day and End-of-the-year Teacher gifts!

Senior’s Bus Day
May
Senior’s opportunity to take a ride around Glenview on a school bus and learn school bus safety!

Park Days
May 9-12, 2011
Each class takes a walk to Roosevelt Park to run, jump and play. This event happens during your child's classtime.

Class Picnics
May 16-19, 2011
Bring your picnic baskets and lay out your checkered blankets. Each class has its own picnic. All family members are welcome.

Summer Camp
June
Summer Camp takes place the 3 weeks after the regular school year. Enrollment in Summer Camp takes place in March. The playground becomes the classroom! Children transition to their “new playground” in a very relax learning environment using nature as the main theme!

Summer Park Days
June
A fun way to stay connected to your GCCNS friends! Meet at various designated park on various dates/times. A very casual and fun event to attend only if your schedule allows – throughout the summer!
