General Testimonials
We LOVE GCCNS! My son is learning so much! The teachers focus on play and getting along with others, and are so encouraging to my
child. My husband and I love that the program is NAEYC accredited...I have worked with early childhood programs before and know what an
achievement accreditation is, and how hard the staff works to maintain that!

My husband and I are very happy that we chose GCCNS as the pre-school for our son. We learned of GCCNS through the Glenview Library's
Open House Event, which gave us the opportunity to talk with several of the schools in the area. We also visited many of the schools before
we made our decision. We chose GCCNS without hesitation.
The teachers are great. Each year I wonder if we'll have a teacher as good as the last, and I have yet to be disappointed. Each
teacher has a genuine concern and love for the children that they teach. They are truly happy to see my son each day, and in turn he
enjoys attending school.
The teachers are readily accessible by phone, email, and in person. They have taken the time to share stories with me of my son's interactions
with others in his classroom. These are sweet stories that I'm so glad that the teachers were interested enough in my child to observe
and thoughtful enough to share with my husband and me. The teachers are good at providing useful information to me regarding my son's
participation and progress in school. Their feedback, advice, guidance, support, and recommendations are helpful and appreciated.
I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience at this school. This is our last year at GCCNS, and I know that we will miss it.

My son has learned so much from his Kinderquest class at GCCNS. Every week we get an update to the units that they are studying and some
things that we can work on together at home that relates to what they are doing. The teachers are fabulous. I highly recommend this class to
any kindergartener and their parent.
My son said to me last Fall: "Sometimes I learn so much I think my brain is going to explode."

Multi-Aged Testimonials
I love the afternoon session and so do my twins. I like the fact that it is a smaller class so there is more one-on-one with the teachers. As
far as my schedule, it has worked much better than the morning session. I also think my kids have benefited from being in class with younger kids
because then they get to be the "big guys" and help with the "little kids". It is a unique pre-school experience.
--Kate Sergeant
My son is the youngest person in his multi-age class at GCCNS. I was a bit worried that the leadership role of the older children would
automatically put him at a disadvantage. After a few weeks of class I realized that my son was as outgoing and happy as he always had been,
and he wasn't below anyone because of his age. His speech improved rapidly, and he really enjoys learning from the older classmates. The
teachers are incredible as well!
--Donna Ekl
The afternoon program has been great for my 3 year old! Since my 5 year old is in afternoon kindergarten, I wanted my daughter in a class
at the same time. Because the class size is a bit smaller than the morning, she gets a lot more one-on-one time with the teachers. We get to
do things together in the morning and are not rushed out of the house. She loves it, and I love it!
--Karen Posey
The afternoon program has been wonderful for my 4 year old. We knew she would be afternoon Kindergarten so we were able to establish the
"school routine" this year. We're able to participate in activities and classes in the mornings so we're not rushed and worn out by the day's
end. The class is a little smaller than the morning allowing for more one-on-one time with the excellent teachers. The mix of ages offers a
unique socialization opportunity for our "only" child that she really enjoys and from which she is benefiting.
--Brian & Melissa Schmitz
The PM multi-age class has been a wonderful transition for my twin girls as they have adjusted to preschool. I was hesitant to have them
in the afternoon class as well as with the different age group, however I have only seen good things. The smaller class has allowed the
teachers to give them the extra attention they needed. And I think being with some older kids has helped them socially and developmentally.
The afternoon class has worked much better for our schedule and situation as we commuted from the city. It has been a wonderful experience
overall!

Teachers Testimonials/Why I chose an Afternoon Preschool class for my child
The timing was great! We were able to go to a variety of enrichment classes in the morning which were less crowded, come home and have
lunch together and head off to preschool. There was the option of a morning class and I chose the afternoon.
--Mrs. Hartley
I wanted the morning class for my 3 year old daughter. I was very disappointed when we didn't get the morning class. To my surprise, I loved
the afternoon option and so did my daughter! We did not have to rush in the morning and the afternoon class was relaxed and peaceful at school.
The class size was smaller and my child benefitted from the extra individualized attention she got from the teachers.
--Susan Hedrick
The afternoon class allowed me to avoid confusion and racing to get to school in the morning when my child was not ready. I loved the calmness
of the afternoon class! My child thrived in the atmosphere!
--Julie Dinelli
The smaller class size was wonderful. Friendships were formed while dropping off and picking up during a less chaotic time on the playground.
More outside playtime was enjoyed by the children in the winter due to warmer afternoons.
--Laura Dillon
By default, my child was enrolled in the afternoon preschool class. I was extremely disappointed as I always thought it best to "get
up and go". WOW- was I wrong. It was wonderful to have a routine of getting up in the morning, not rushing through breakfast, giving more time to
helping my children get dressed by themselves, sometimes doing an activity or a play date or going for lunch and then head on to preschool. The
best part of the day (which is usually the worst) ended up being from 3pm–5pm. My kids were ready for a true quiet time- which they happily took.
I had time to myself and to get started on dinner. Around 5, the kids played either outside or in, or we went to the park for about a 1/2 hour
before dinner- then had dinner and the bedtime routine began. The day's routine was very pleasant.
I definitely recommend parents to choose afternoon preschool!
